Scholarship Programs

We are thrilled to offer 2 types of scholarships available for returning students:

Merit Based
Teachers decide on one leveled student per discipline to be awarded that class FREE the following year school year (8 months).  Available disciplines:

• Ballet
• Jazz
• Tap
• Acro
• Contemporary
• ​Work Ethic
• Collective

Scholarship winners are announced at Spring Recital (Finale Show). Merit based discipline scholarships can only be awarded once per dancer.

Need Based Scholarship Eligibility

• Returning LDA student 
• ​Funded by consignment sales (approx. $1,000/year)
• People can choose to donate to consignment OR receive a $5 credit when turning in an item
• Funds will start the year with a pool (from previous years’ consignment sales), and once exhausted will be no longer available
• Any left over funds will roll over into the next year
• Funds can be used for tuition fees for current LDA students
• Funds can be applied toward up to 50% of tuition payments*. For example, participants owing $42 for monthly tuition would now owe $21 monthly for the remainder of the season. 
  *Number of classes eligible per discount per family depends on number of applicants. We anticipate a limit of 2 scholarshiped classes per family. 
  • Cannot be applied toward dancewear, merchandise, costumes or Registration Fee

Need Based Scholarship needs to be applied for every year by Sept. 1. Applicants will be awarded and prioritized based on: 

• Attendance
• ​​Teacher Recommendation
