The Landing Dance Academy has a full selection of ballet, tap, and jazz shoes, as well as leotards, tights, skirts and pants available for purchase during our open office hours.  We typically recommend students purchase shoes through us so that when recital time rolls around you have the required shoe style for your class.

Dress Code

Dance with Me, Creative Movement & Kinderdance
  • Girls: Pink leather ballet shoes, tights, dance dress or leotard (skirt optional)
  • Boys: Black leather ballet shoes, black shorts or pants, white tank top
Combo Classes
  • Girls: Black mary jane style tap shoes, pink leather ballet shoes, tights, dance dress or leotard (skirt optional)
  • Boys: Black tap shoe (lace up or slip on), black leather ballet shoes, black shorts or pants, white tank top
Jazz/Hip-Hop and Pop-Hop: Black jazz shoes, form fitting shorts or pants, leotard or form fitting tank top/tee
Tap: Black tie-up tap shoes, form fitting shorts or pants, leotard or form fitting tank top/tee
Ballet
  • Ladies: Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes (with laces cut), light colored tights, leotard (see color below) skirt is optional but must be above the knees so that the teacher can see proper knee alignment.
  • Gents: Black leather or canvas ballet shoes, black shorts or pants, white tank top
Intensive Track Classes (ballet, jazz, or tap) should wear a leotard in the following color:
  • Level 1: Light Pink
  • Level 2: Light Purple
  • Level 3: Plum
  • Level 4: Navy Blue
  • Level 5/6: Black
Acro: Bare feet, no tights (convertible or footless tights are OK), form fitting shorts or pants, leotard or form fitting tank top
Musical Theater: Character shoes (recommended), form fitting shorts or pants, leotard or form fitting tank top
Irish: Irish shoes or black ballet shoes, form fitting shorts or pants, leotard or form fitting top
